I called to schedule an appointment and was informed that the doctor only had availability in 4 months! I decided to schedule it, and to my surprise, they called the day before to cancel. Total disregard, such a distant schedule and I still couldn't get an appointment! I could see that I'm not the only one here complaining about the schedule, including patients complaining that they can't schedule a follow-up appointment…

The pre-operative care is excellent; the problem is entirely in the post-operative period. After the surgery, I only had one consultation with the surgeon. They changed their way of working, and all follow-up is done by a nutritionist and psychologist. Patients are only referred to the surgeon if there are abnormal test results. I had to request a referral for an ultrasound and endoscopy a year after surgery because even that wasn't requested. I don't know if this is only for some health insurance plans or if this procedure applies to both private patients and those with Bradesco insurance, as they make this distinction in their service. Anyway, I think there's a lack of care for the patient in the post-operative period.

Since starting treatment at the clinic, I have received excellent care and support. I underwent bariatric surgery, and it was very safe, quick, and extremely professional. All the professionals are polite, from the WhatsApp contact to the surgery itself. The receptionists are attentive, and the nutritionists, psychologists, and surgeons are all wonderful. Nine months have passed, and I still feel very emotional about starting this new phase of my life in such a special place. I highly recommend it.

Terrible! Doctors don't even show up for the initial consultation, and they don't give any feedback whatsoever!!! I've been waiting for 40 minutes, after taking time off to schedule an appointment. If this is how it is for the initial consultation, imagine what the whole process is like? Run away!

Unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed with the team at the Sallet Institute. At my six-month follow-up appointment, the doctors informed me that, even with the change in my health insurance plan, I would be entitled to a follow-up appointment one year after surgery. I completed one year since surgery on January 24, 2026, having received the requests for examination forms on January 12, 2026. During this period, I experienced several pain crises and was diagnosed with many gallstones, requiring urgent hospitalization and surgery. After my recovery, I contacted them to schedule my follow-up appointment with the multidisciplinary team. To my surprise, the receptionist informed me that I would have to pay privately, with reimbursement via a referral form, even though I had followed the previous instructions from the medical team. I explained that, at the last consultation, my plan had already changed and that I had been guaranteed the right to a follow-up appointment one year after surgery, but the receptionist claimed that I had exceeded this period by a few days. No one informed me that I had to attend exactly within a year, and the unforeseen event that prevented me from returning within that timeframe was due to health issues related to bariatric surgery, a fact I can prove. Furthermore, the service I received was rude and unsupportive, which left me extremely upset. I would never have expected this kind of behavior from the Sallet Institute, considering the history of follow-up and care promised. I request that my case be reviewed and that the multidisciplinary follow-up I was entitled to, as per the initial medical advice, be guaranteed without additional charges, since my inability to attend within the timeframe was entirely justifiable. I await your response.

I felt that the Institute puts a lot of effort into the pre-operative phase. I suggest that a routine of post-operative monitoring be adopted. In my case, I experienced a lot of pain, an extreme feeling of emptiness in my abdomen, aversion to permitted liquids, and weakness. Daily contact would have been enlightening and comforting. I believe that the liquid phase is the most delicate; ideally, this relationship with the patient should be very close, at least until the ninth post-operative day. I also suggest two follow-up appointments, one in 15 days and another in 30 days.

Pre-surgical care is excellent, as is the surgery itself. The team is attentive, and consultations are smooth. However, pre-operative guidance is extremely deficient, something that, unfortunately, only becomes evident when the patient is already in the process. The information is superficial, unclear, and insufficient to adequately prepare someone undergoing a major surgery. Starting with the delay in performing the procedure: although the surgery was scheduled for 10 am, it only began around 4 pm, without adequate prior communication or a clear justification. Post-operative follow-up follows the same pattern. Despite prior warnings, I believed these were isolated incidents. In practice, the post-operative period functions like a real game of Russian roulette: either the patient is lucky, or they are completely without assistance. If the surgery is performed at the end of the year, the scenario is even more critical; care is practically nonexistent. The nutritional guidance provided post-surgery is generic and standardized, without any minimal personalization. In my case, the prescribed diet even caused me discomfort. Therefore, I strongly recommend hiring a private nutritionist at another clinic to ensure adequate follow-up. Furthermore, there is no flexibility for consultations in the immediate post-operative period. Appointments are only available after 30 days, solely to facilitate billing by the health insurance company. Currently, I have stitches in my abdominal area, all closed and healed, and I inquired about the possibility of scheduling an earlier appointment for removal. The answer was direct and objective: it is not possible. In short, we are compelled to seek other professionals to obtain the care that was promised at the beginning of treatment, but which does not materialize precisely during the most sensitive phases of the process: the post-surgical period. In summary, this is a clinic indicated for surgery, but it requires prior awareness that subsequent follow-up will have to be sought outside the offered structure, as the current one is completely deficient.

Terrible clinic. If you want humane and calm service, look elsewhere. I scheduled an appointment online, and I had to call countless times to try to attend the appointment: they entered my birthdate incorrectly, so I couldn't access the system; they didn't call me to get the token, so the link for the appointment didn't appear; after numerous calls and being transferred to various departments, the system kept crashing and they accused me of abandoning the appointment; fifth call: after several transfers, they again said the doctor would call me soon, I waited for 50 minutes and nothing, another call and then they informed me that I hadn't attended the appointment (unbelievable!) and offered me a rescheduling. Is this serious?

The clinic contacted me and helped me with questions about scheduling, assisting me with great empathy.

Initially, the service was very magical. After I had the surgery, I was simply abandoned; they already got what they wanted, $$. I saw a surgeon, but on the day of the procedure, everything was a mess at the hospital. It was 1 PM, and I went to have the surgery at 6 PM. On the day of discharge, another doctor spoke to me. I felt like merchandise, less like a patient of this "institute." In short, here is my complaint, and before you go, research very well. Because I don't recommend it to anyone.

I came from another state to have surgery with this team and I would return as many times as necessary to receive the care I did. I had some questions in the post-operative period and was well taken care of by the nutritional team through their support. In the first few days I had some discomfort, which was normal for the initial post-operative phase, but I received guidance from the team at all times. I have no complaints about the 6-month post-operative period, which also went through without any problems with scheduling. I am immensely grateful to the team that freed me from the burden of carrying 40 kg.

Incredible clinic, impeccable service, from the call center as my first contact, to the medical and transdisciplinary team, you were all amazing throughout my entire process, 10 out of 10.

I had my surgery at this clinic, and I was very well taken care of by the entire team. I was a little worried about some reviews here on Google regarding the post-operative care, but I was extremely well looked after and supported by the whole team, especially by Dr. Sallet and Dr. Carol, not to mention the nutritionists Dr. Ana Beatriz and Dr. Carla, who helped me a lot in the post-surgery period with my questions about my diet. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to the entire team.

Excellent infrastructure and an extraordinary medical staff. I had been to other clinics before but didn't feel comfortable, and when I arrived at the Institute I encountered a welcoming and empathetic service. I read some comments and allowed myself to get to know them because opinion is something individual, and I didn't regret it. I know there's a long road ahead, but I'm confident in the path I'll follow with their help. I'm ready for butterflies 🦋

The post-operative care at Clínica Sallet is a complete disgrace. I had two surgeries there, and in both cases, the lack of professionalism and the unwillingness of the staff were unacceptable. It's a struggle to resolve anything. The clinic urgently needs to improve its support and post-operative care.
