At Synapse, we understand that body, mind, and emotion do not walk separate paths — they are rivers that meet, blend, and sometimes overflow. Human suffering cannot be contained in rigid labels: it pulses with the singularity of each story, in the unique way each person feels, falls ill, resists, and reinvents themselves. We are a clinic born from the encounter between scientific rigor and listening that sustains silence. Here, medical knowledge — oriented toward neurobiology, general practice, and comprehensive body health — dialogues with psychology and nutritional care, composing a broad perspective on who arrives at our door. While one approach investigates organic mechanisms, another welcomes meanings, emotions, and desire; and a third recognizes that the body speaks too — in hunger, in excess, in lack, in the rhythm that is lost. We work at the intersection of technical precision and clinical sensitivity. Because we understand that caring is not merely treating symptoms, but accompanying the person in their journey — through what weighs on the body, what troubles the mind, what is lacking or overflowing in life. At Synapse, we do not fragment care: we integrate it. General practice, mental health, and nutrition intertwine to offer continuous attention, where each dimension sustains the other. Dr. Sérgio saved my life! I have multiple sclerosis, and I was extremely supported by him and his team! I've been with him for about 3 years and I'm part of a clinical trial that literally saved my life! Today I have a "normal" life, today I have quality of life thanks to Dr. Sérgio! For all those who have any "neurological problems," consult with Dr. Sérgio!

My wife has back problems. She was seen by Dr. Sergio twice. The first time, the monosyllabic doctor quickly dismissed her with a request for tests. We thought he might be having a bad day and gave him the benefit of the doubt. The return visit was worse; he glanced at the results and wrote a prescription whose indication, according to the package insert, did not correspond to her problem. He ignored her questions, confused her symptoms, and dismissed her as quickly as possible. I'm giving one star because there isn't a zero-star option.
