Hello, I am Maria Beatriz, an Ophthalmologist. I am originally from São Carlos, in the interior of the state, but I moved to the capital many years ago. I completed my medical degree at the USP School of Medicine and went on to do my Ophthalmology residency and Fellowship, all at HC FMUSP. I also completed two international exchanges, one in Zaragoza, Spain, and another for one year at Harvard. Today I am one of the founders of Clínica Amiz; I am a professor in the Glaucoma, Cataract, and Emergency departments at HCFMUSP, and I coordinate the Ophthalmology curriculum in a preparatory course for the Ophthalmology Board Certification exam. My clinical focus is on surgical cases involving Glaucoma, Cataract, Refractive Surgery, and Anterior Segment Ocular Trauma.
