I am Dr. Daniel Oliveira, and my journey began as follows: My first degree was in Physical Therapy from the University of the State of Santa Catarina in 2007. Since that time, I have had a strong interest in how to properly treat joint problems, and even as an undergraduate student, I joined the Laboratory of Neurobiology of Nociception, affiliated...
I am Dr. Daniel Oliveira, and my journey began as follows: My first degree was in Physical Therapy from the University of the State of Santa Catarina in 2007. Since that time, I have had a strong interest in how to properly treat joint problems, and even as an undergraduate student, I joined the Laboratory of Neurobiology of Nociception, affiliated with the Department of Pharmacology at the Federal University of Santa Catarina. I remained there for 6 years involved in basic research on the mechanisms of joint pain, more specifically in the knee, where I obtained my Master's degree in Pharmacology. Afterward, I entered the Medicine program at the University of Southern Santa Catarina, obtaining my degree in 2013. I chose Orthopedics and Traumatology, completing my 3-year medical residency at the Regional Hospital of São José (SC). I then joined the Paulista School of Medicine (UNIFESP), where I received one year of clinical and surgical training in the treatment of knee injuries. Since then, I have maintained ongoing international professional development, having completed several fellowships in the United States, Germany, and India.
