Hello, I am Dr. Iago Koerich, a physician graduated from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and a Psychiatry resident at the Institute of Psychiatry of Santa Catarina (IPq-SC). Hello, I am Dr. Iago Koerich, a physician graduated from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) and a Psychiatry resident at the Institute of Psychiatry of Santa Catarina (IPq-SC). My clinical practice is focused on comprehensive mental health care, with a special interest in anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and men's mental health. Beyond these areas, I also value the role of a healthy lifestyle as a fundamental part of treatment — including sleep, physical activity, balanced nutrition, stress management, and daily routine organization. I believe in a psychiatry that unites scientific rigor and human sensitivity. I base my work on up-to-date evidence and thorough clinical assessment, without losing sight of the nuances, complexities, and uncertainties that are part of psychological life. I understand that each person carries a unique story, and therefore I prioritize attentive, respectful, and welcoming listening, capable of creating a safe space for reflection and change. My goal is to offer ethical, responsible, and deeply human care, helping each patient to better understand their mind, strengthen their autonomy, and build more stable pathways toward well-being and quality of life. Dr. Entente understands the peculiar case of each patient because sometimes the real diagnosis seems to be something but in reality it is not, and he manages to distinguish and understand where many other professionals could not or did not want to, and in the end, as always, they only gave a cookie-cutter prescription. I recommend him to everyone. It gives me hope that in the near future psychiatric medicine will seek to base itself more on evidence, research each case more thoroughly (real diagnosis or much more precise), and most importantly, help the patient prevent rather than only wanting to treat for the rest of their life. This industry has and will change soon, and in my conception, Dr. has an open mind and is already part of this important change in this area. PS: I have already been to many doctors and psychologists for over 2 decades.
